This year’s Town election will take place on Tuesday, May 4, 2021.

Brookline is divided into 16 precincts. Each precinct has a polling location, which is where you will go to vote in person on Election Day.

If you have requested and received a ballot to vote early by mail, be sure to either send it back through the mail or put it in the drop box in front of Brookline Town Hall, 333 Washington St., before Tuesday, May 4, at 8:00 pm.


Everyone is also eligible to request a ballot to vote by mail. Fill out the form, sign it (very important), and email a copy with your signature visible to townclerk@brooklinema.gov.

Apply for an early ballot (optional)

An early ballot is a ballot that you fill out before the election. Then you can either send it back through the mail or put it in the drop box in front of Brookline Town Hall, 333 Washington St., before Tuesday, May 4, at 8:00 pm.

You can request a ballot right now, and it will be mailed to you the next day. Fill out the form, sign it (very important), and email a copy with your signature visible to townclerk@brooklinema.gov. You can also send the ballot request via USPS to Town Clerk, 333 Washington St., Brookline, MA 02445 or put it in the drop box in front of Town Hall.

If you plan to vote early by mail, you must request your ballot before Wednesday, April 28, at 5:00 pm.

There will be in-person early voting before election day at Brookline Town Hall, 333 Washington St:

  • Saturday, April 24, 2021 - 8:30 am to 1:00 pm
  • Tuesday, April 27, 2021 - 8:30 am to 8:00 pm
  • Thursday, April 29, 2021 - 8:30 am to 8:00 pm
